It was sunny, cool and a beautiful weekend. One of our favorite traditions is getting together with the Carmichaels to dye Easter eggs and hunt them after our hard work.
Ready to paint our eggs
Amanda helping the wees "dye" their eggs
We decided to go topless with Caroline - it was a great decision
Catherine Ellis is a great egg dyer!
Green and blue - two of her favorite colors, besides crimson that is ...
Archer showing off his tie dyed hands - little did I know it wasn't washable ... oops!
Sweet C - so proud of her eggs!
This year was even more fun than last year, the kids are a year older and the idea of a "hunt" is starting to catch on more with Caroline and Archer. Catherine Ellis totally gets it - we had to tell her to hang back. It's hard being the oldest sometimes!
Impatiently waiting to go find some eggs!
"not looking" while the parents hid the eggs
Love these three SO very much - sweet, sweet friends!
This was about the time we realized the dye didn't come off -
Hill and David did a lot of scrubbing #easterfail
Easter morning we rose bright and early so we could play with our Easter treats - candy of course, some lollipops and bubbles and a few toys. A sweet friend dropped off the beautiful Easter lily as I was coming back into town from Mom's - it was a wonderful reminder of the beauty of Easter.
The girls with their Easter treats
We got dressed and hurried off to church where the sweet Brown boys met the girls with fresh flowers to flower the cross outside the church. Such a sweet thing for the children of the church to do.
Flowering the cross - Mardi Gras beads completed the look
these two were pulling off!
So pretty!
We took a few shots as a family after church - it was a cool, but gorgeous day! And then headed out to be with our California favorites - the Henderson family!
