Catherine Ellis has a new trick most every day now. Here are some of the things she has accomplished in the last month:
- She can roll from one side to the other easily
- She can make the razzing sound with her tongue
- She's discovered she can make all kinds of noises and that she does indeed have a voice!
- She can hold her own bottle
- She can hold her feet and pull them towards her mouth
- She can find and suck her thumb with ease
- She's cutting four new teeth (we think, it's seldom she lets us get a peak)
- She's standing a lot
- She's close to sitting up and when she is not sitting up she's constantly pulling forward to try to reach the upright position
- She's eating rice cereal a few times a week
- She's starting to pay attention to the television
- She's still wearing 0-3 month clothes, but some 3-6 months due to the need for extra length for those long legs
- She likes the exersaucer and trying to jump up and down on her feet
- She can grab an object and now hold on to it for some length of time
- She is starting to recognize her name
- She's riding in the stroller without her car seat (meaning she's steady enough sitting up that she doesn't need assistance from the car seat)
- She's sitting in the highchair at school with her older friends while they eat
- She's interested in the food Mommy and Daddy eat -- she watches us literally take the food from the plate to our mouths...she's memorized
