Vacation Bible School - July 15-19, 2013

Catherine Ellis was finally old enough (4K) to participate in VBS at St Mary's this summer!  She had a blast! The week was all about water and turns out there are lots of stories about water in the Bible - the creation story, Noah's ark, Jesus walking on the water, all the lovely creatures you can find in the water.

We kicked off VBS the Sunday before the first day and the girls LOVED the whale that greeted them as they entered the church.  Catherine Ellis was super excited about her t-shirt and Caroline, well let's just say she was not pleased that they didn't have a t-shirt for her as well (little mama is too young to attend, much to her dismay).  We had a small melt-down, but she finally agreed to leave the building without a t-shirt.

I dropped off and picked up Catherine Ellis every day with the exception of the last day when Coco was in town and she dropped her off. It was so much fun to see her so excited about being with her friends from church and learning about Jesus.  We're so thankful for our St. Mary's family!

Catherine Ellis and her boat - of course it's pink!

Her fish prints - they used real fish and these are super cool - the details are so intricate!

This is the last day - she made soap and painted a shell!

And last but not least, Catherine Ellis's favorite part was her group's assistant - Porter.  She adores Porter and he is so sweet to her.  He's in David's Senior High Sunday School class and such a charming young man. Catherine Ellis is quite the charmer too, so they were a good pair.  They made the church newsletter with their cuteness:)  First crush?!?
